Ukrainian Attack

Wednesday, March 2nd, 2022

I am sitting here, my heart heavy, watching a horror unfold before me of an innocent people are slaughtered by a superior Russian aggressor. The response of the world is inconceivable to me. Immagine if you will the following story.

Immagine you are walking along and you see a woman and her child being brutally beaten and murdered. She is begging for your help. He is threatening to shoot you with his gun if you try to get involved. What should you do? If you do nothing she and her child will surely die. If I tell him he is going to be punished if he doesn’t stop, do you think it will stop him. If I had a gun should I shoot first and punish him later after the attack is stopped. But what if he shoots me? Or maybe I should give her my gun so she can defend herself. That might make me feel better that I at least did something. But will I really feel any better after he kills her anyway, when I could have gotten involved and stopped him. Now she and here children are dead and he runs away, but we catch him and punish him like we said, but he is still alive able to fight again and she and her children are dead. Do I feel any better after allowing her to die.

This I how I see our Presidents approach to the war in the Ukraine. We can be doing more but we are not. We offer guns, but are afraid of a fight. And it is not just our President it is all of the world standing back watching us watch her as she dies.

But what is she doesn’t die and somehow survives. What is she going to think of us and the rest of the world as well, as she buries her children while we stood back and watched them die. And now he is emboldened and will go after her sisters because knows that we and the whole world will do nothing to stop him.
